Blizzard cracks down on battleground cheaters

Written by damiende on January 13, 2008 – 8:50 pm

Recently cheaters has appeared on the official forums and complained about getting a temporarily  suspension for going afk in battlegrounds.  I have to say I enjoy the fact that they lose honor and items gained from honor.

Some people might argue that its kinda harsh to punish afk cheaters with a suspension and even a ban. And it might be a bit harsh to ban someone permanently. At least they should give them a temporarily suspension first. Players getting suspended is also affecting other players, some of these players might lose out on raiding and stuff like that. So my guess is that in near future we will see a bunch of cheaters that are getting kicked out of their guilds.

The spam in Ironforge the other night was intense. It looks like the goldspammers are taking turns creating accounts and start spamming. Its getting really annoying at times and I wish that they will be slapped hard with a class action lawsuit. I did a little checking on the website they advertise for. And it’s registered in China. When you register a domain you have to give up your real name and address and failure to do so is enough to lose the domain and hosting.  Its tempting to contact the hosting company and tell them about whats going on. Who knows maybe they will do something even if they are Chinese.

All I know is that Blizzard will have to do something soon to stop the spammers. If it gets worse then its  now people will get seriously mad. Yesterday it was so bad that as soon as I reported one spammer another one started up. If things are going to be like that in the future lots of angry players will report these morons. And even quit like players did in Ffxi when the rmt problem got to bad.

My time in Azeroth is spent doing quests in Blades Edge Mountains and doing some battlegrounds. I even took a trip to Area 52 to finish a quest. I have one week left before I start working again and my goal is to get to at least level 69 before that.

Until next time

RMT hacking FFXI accounts

Written by damiende on December 15, 2007 – 7:47 pm

There is an outrage over at Allakhazam lots of accounts has been hacked. And SE doesn’t do anything about it. I can certainly understand the players rage but I think they should react differently the internet is a great media to get your points across. And if the masses over at allakhazam would join together and start a proper crusade against SE they would have a bigger chance of succeeding.

I am sure that some of the members there knows a journalist. Get their help write a press release. Try and gain the medias attention if you manage to get your story picked up by a newspaper or a television station you have come a long way. The more the mainstream media starts to ask SE questions. They will be forced to consider their words when they reply. After all if this is true then actually SE has been the victim of something that is actually a serious crime.

Until next time

Cheaters

Written by damiende on November 18, 2007 – 3:19 pm

I hate cheaters I hate them with a passion. And the cheaters over at Eq2flames are the worst kind. Why is that you ask? Because I bet that those hypocrites has never reported a suspected cheater. And this attitude is what helps cheaters run rampant in games like ffxi wow and eq2 amongst others. With their attitude they help the cheaters along.

Eq2flames thought they were smart and tried to ridicule me but they failed miserably. Thanks to eq2flames I got more visitors here then ever. Not to mention getting even more inbound links and plenty of visits from search engine spiders.

Here is a tip for all those that has a blog they want to promote.

Post a link over at http://www.eq2flames.com What will happen next is that they will ridicule your blog and start calling you names. All while your blog gets hits and frequent visits from search engine spiders. Thus helping you up on the search engine rankings.

Until next time
