Ding level 70
Written by damiende on March 21, 2008 – 4:26 pmToday I finally made level 70 on my warrior Damiende. It took me almost 42 days of playing to reach level 70. I started playing world of warcraft 3 years ago. And it has been a fun game, even if I have taken some breaks.
The other day I purchased a Nikon D60 and I have been busy testing it out. I bought a new lens the other day for it. So now I have some more zoom at my disposal. Its a 55 to 200mm lens.
Until next time

Blizzard updates its TOS
Written by damiende on March 2, 2008 – 4:44 pmBlizzard now states that accounts that are hacked sometimes is used in rmt activity.
I think this is a good statement to make. If only blizzard had the balls to follow up on this with some action from the law. It would be even better, nothing would scare the ones hacking if some of them got busted by the law. I can’t understand why this doesn’t happen more often. After all these people are committing crimes. And when they sign up with their internet provider they agree to their terms. And their terms states that you shall not do anything illegal. Thus it should be of no problem for Blizzard to contact their internet provider to get them banned. And in really bad cases report them to the police.
My prediction is that within the year rmt as we know it will have changed dramatically due to several things. There are several lawsuits going on that can change things dramatically. No matter what the outcome is. I will have more about these lawsuits later on.
Until next time

I had some fun with some account sellers
Written by damiende on January 19, 2008 – 12:02 pmFrom time to time I have fun with account sellers and other cheaters. Its fun to report account sellers to qxl and ebay. Its also fun to report the morons that give out the names of their characters to Blizzard. Below is a list of the various things I have done this weekend.
6 accounts reported to Blizzard
1 player reported for suspicion of using some sort of hacking
9 auctions removed
0 goldspammers reported for spamming.
In between all this I have also managed to do some serious playing. Did two group quests in Gruuls lair and a few others in Blades Edge mountains. Getting closer and closer to level 69. I am home from work until Tuesday so I will reach level 69 by then.
It will be exiting to start working again we have opened a new store and there is quite a bit of things to learn. There is a new cash register and lots of new merchandise to sell. On the opening day we sold for the same as a bad week in the old store. So things a looking bright for the new store.
Until next time

Blizzard cracks down on battleground cheaters
Written by damiende on January 13, 2008 – 8:50 pmRecently cheaters has appeared on the official forums and complained about getting a temporarily suspension for going afk in battlegrounds. I have to say I enjoy the fact that they lose honor and items gained from honor.
Some people might argue that its kinda harsh to punish afk cheaters with a suspension and even a ban. And it might be a bit harsh to ban someone permanently. At least they should give them a temporarily suspension first. Players getting suspended is also affecting other players, some of these players might lose out on raiding and stuff like that. So my guess is that in near future we will see a bunch of cheaters that are getting kicked out of their guilds.
The spam in Ironforge the other night was intense. It looks like the goldspammers are taking turns creating accounts and start spamming. Its getting really annoying at times and I wish that they will be slapped hard with a class action lawsuit. I did a little checking on the website they advertise for. And it’s registered in China. When you register a domain you have to give up your real name and address and failure to do so is enough to lose the domain and hosting. Its tempting to contact the hosting company and tell them about whats going on. Who knows maybe they will do something even if they are Chinese.
All I know is that Blizzard will have to do something soon to stop the spammers. If it gets worse then its now people will get seriously mad. Yesterday it was so bad that as soon as I reported one spammer another one started up. If things are going to be like that in the future lots of angry players will report these morons. And even quit like players did in Ffxi when the rmt problem got to bad.
My time in Azeroth is spent doing quests in Blades Edge Mountains and doing some battlegrounds. I even took a trip to Area 52 to finish a quest. I have one week left before I start working again and my goal is to get to at least level 69 before that.
Until next time

Level 68 at last
Written by damiende on January 7, 2008 – 6:59 pmToday I finally hit level 68 with my warrior Damiende actually it went pretty quick I didn’t take more then a week. I have spent lots of time in Blades Edge Mountains doing various quests. And I still have a few to do.
I usually quest alone but if someone is looking for help with some quest I am on. I will join them it usually saves quite a bit of gold in repairs. My goal now is to clear out most of the quests in Blades Edge Mountain. I will also keep on raising my reputation. I will take another trip to Winterspring to do some quests and keep on raising my reputation there. I will also work on raising my reputation with Argent Dawn. I am also going to take a break from leveling because I need some more gold for my new gear. So for the rest of the week I will focus mostly on raising reputation and maybe do an instance or two. Getting herbs is an easy way to get some quick gold. And maybe spend a few hours fishing for winter squid.
I have a suggestion to put a dent in the rmt business. If Blizzard made it so that when a goldseller is reported for spam by 5 different players, they will be muted. This will put a dent in their advertising. The fools over at allakhazam shot it down as usual. But thats the way it has always been over there.
Until next time

Ding level 67
Written by damiende on December 30, 2007 – 8:59 pmI set one goal for this vacation. And that was to make it to at least level 67. And I made it. I did quite a few quests in Blades Edge Mountains and Zangarmarsh and the xp really helped. Within next week I hope to make it to level 68. Most of the quests in Blades Edge Mountain are fairly straightforward. And some are really hard. I have also done a few quests down in Zangarmarsh and I still have a few to do down there so that is the next thing to do. I have also leveled my cooking skills. I managed to raise my fishing skills a few points in doing so.
I refuse to buy herbs fish or meat to level up crafting skills. One hour of fishing got me enough fish to level my cooking skill more then 20 levels. Only a lazy player would spend 10 20 gold on the ah instead.
During the last week I have made at least 500 gold by just doing quests and putting drops on the ah. Making money in Wow is quite easy if you ask me. It just takes some patience and that is something lots of players are lacking.
Tomorrow I will continue doing quests in Zangarmarsh and I will continue to raise my fishing skill. I will also take a trip to winterspring to finish of a quest line there. My aim is to get as many quests done as possible. As well as raising a few skills. Wednesday is my first day of work in the new year. And Thursday I have to attend a meeting after work. So I have two days of solid gameplay ahead of me.
Until next time

A trip to stratholme
Written by damiende on December 27, 2007 – 1:46 pmBefore my last break I started a bunch of quests in Stratholme and last night I finally got around to doing a few of them. Did a quick run with two level 70s. I have also been doing quests in Winterfall. Gained enough reputation to be friendly with the Timbermaw hold.
Hopefully I will be able to play some more before the year ends. One more day of working I hope been busy today and it will be busy tomorrow. 4 people didn’t show up for work today. They better have a good excuse.
Until next time
