Doris Lessing calls it a day
Written by damiende on May 11, 2008 – 10:06 amDoris Lessing CH OBE born Doris May Tayler in Kermanshah, Persia on 22 October 1919 is a British writer, author of works such as the novels The Grass is Singing and The Golden Notebook.
Doris Lessing calls it a day. She thinks that the Nobel price is a curse for her, she is now to busy doing interviews and stuff to be writing. I think its a pity that she is now retiring.
But lets be honest she is almost 90 years old and I doubt that she would have written that many books in the remaining years she has.
Her latest book has gotten good critiques so she will retire in style.
Until next time

That is awful; complaining that she got the Nobel price. She could have said no to the Nobel price when she got the news that she was the Nobel price winner in literature. And “retire in style” is doubtful, that is my opinion. Can you retire in style as an author when you loudly complain that you got a price for your literary works?
I think she is still p****d off for not getting it earlier. She said that she expected to get the price long before she actually got it.

Actually I think you are right. She does sound a bit pissed off for not getting it earlier.
