Hardangerbana is my favorite railroad line.

Written by damiende on November 25, 2007 – 8:09 pm

Ever since I was a little kid I have had a fascination for this railroad line. It had a turbulent life with the threat of being closed hanging over its head for many years. The line was operated from 1935 1989. The last passenger train ran in 1985. Today there are almost no remains left of this railroad line.

These pictures were taken last year after I took a trip along the old line.

I am not sure what this is the remains of but it might be some sort of guard hut from world war 2.

This is the end of the longest tunnel. Behind me is more then a km with darkness.

This is the tunnel entrance if you look hard you can see the old guard hut in the bushes.

This is what is left of the line all the stations but one has been demolished and only the platforms are left. Its a real pity because the line ran trough some of the most scenic areas of Norway. But I guess money talks.

Until next time

Whoohoo level 66

Written by damiende on November 24, 2007 – 7:04 pm

Yesterday I hit level 66 with my warrior Damiende. I haven’t had much time to play Wow lately but I got around doing lots of quests up in Blades edge mountains. This gave me enough xp to reach level 66. I have done all quests in Sylvanar. At this level they were surprisingly easy the drops needed came rather quickly and thats a good thing. Nothing is more boring then running around trying to get drops that takes forever to get. I did get some good drops besides the ones needed for the quests. And I made about 50 gold. Thats after all repairs. Below is a screen shoot of what I look like right now. I logged in Ironforge tonight so tomorrow I will be shopping for some new gear.

Until next time

Allakhazam are making themselfs bigger then they are.

Written by damiende on November 24, 2007 – 6:29 pm

If you look at the front page of allakhazam. You will see that they have 1,323,829 users at the time of this writing. The thing is most likely over one million of these users are banned accounts. You see Allakhazam never deletes accounts. It’s a quick way to boost their status if you ask me. And I am sure the advertising companies likes it. I mean it must be nice throw around that you have more then 1 million members. When in fact you have probably a few hundred active. I can’t see no other reason for them not removing the accounts.

Just take some time to think about it.

Until next time

Trainz

Written by damiende on November 23, 2007 – 4:55 pm

I picked up trainz ultimate collection the other day. So now I have Railsimulator Trainz Msts and Bve on my computer. Trainz looks like a decent rail simulator. It’s easy to figure out how to drive the trains. I haven’t tried downloading anything from planet auran yet, but I wil try it tomorrow after work.

I am actually a bit bored with railsimulator these days. So I am looking forward to see some new routes and trains for it.  I am also looking forward to the upcoming patch for it. It looks like Trainz is the rail simulator with the most addons available besides Msts. So I am really looking forward to see what trains and routes I can find for it. Lots of people are saying that the route creator in Trainz is the best one out there.  Well I have to go to work tomorrow so I better get some sleep.

Until next time

What’s in store for this blog

Written by damiende on November 19, 2007 – 8:57 pm

Rmt exposed is here to stay lets make that clear. I have purchased a few new domains to help it along. So 2008 is looking promising. Most of the community wishes death upon this blog. So just to be a pain in the butt for them I will keep on going stronger then ever. The posters at Allakhazam and Eq2flames was driven by the urge of telling others how bad they are. All while they helped me along. Allakhazam and Eq2flames has been really helpful towards this site. They really don’t know it but its true.

I have said it before and I will say it again. If you want to promote your blog you should check out Eq2flames. They love blog promoting and will make sure your blog gets lots of incoming links. And not to mention lots of visits from search engine spiders.

Until next time

Boso View Express

Written by damiende on November 18, 2007 – 8:17 pm

Tomorrow I am going to try another railsimulator called Boso View Express shortened BVE. This is a Japanese railsimulator that is freeware.  There is a bundle of routes and trains for this railsimulator so I am really looking forward to try it. There are no Norwegian routes and trains for this simulator as far as I can tell but that doesn’t matter much. I think its still going to be fun to try it.

I might pick up a version of Trainz also just to try it. I have  heard lots of positive things about it. And I still got msts installed on my computer.  It’s good to have some variation.

I have made some progress on the Hardangerbana route. But it takes time to figure out the various stuff in the dev tools. I am waiting for some more documentation to be released on several things in the program.  But now it’s time for bed……

Until next time

Cheaters

Written by damiende on November 18, 2007 – 3:19 pm

I hate cheaters I hate them with a passion. And the cheaters over at Eq2flames are the worst kind. Why is that you ask? Because I bet that those hypocrites has never reported a suspected cheater. And this attitude is what helps cheaters run rampant in games like ffxi wow and eq2 amongst others. With their attitude they help the cheaters along.

Eq2flames thought they were smart and tried to ridicule me but they failed miserably. Thanks to eq2flames I got more visitors here then ever. Not to mention getting even more inbound links and plenty of visits from search engine spiders.

Here is a tip for all those that has a blog they want to promote.

Post a link over at http://www.eq2flames.com What will happen next is that they will ridicule your blog and start calling you names. All while your blog gets hits and frequent visits from search engine spiders. Thus helping you up on the search engine rankings.

Until next time

Hardangerbana route

Written by damiende on November 14, 2007 – 6:05 pm

I have decided to make an attempt to create a route for Railsimulator based on Hardangerbana. A Norwegian line that went from Voss to Granvin. It was operational from 1935 to 1989. I have tinkered with the dev tools for railsimulator and it looks like a great tool.

Click here for more information about Hardangerbana

Here you can find some pictures.

Hardangerbana

Written by damiende on November 10, 2007 – 8:00 pm

I am thinking about trying to make a route in railsimulator that is based on Hardangerbana. I know its quite a job to do so. But it would be really cool to see this route. Especially since it was based in my hometown. Hardangerbana  ran from 1935 until 1985. And the only remains these day of the railroad line is a few tunnels.

Tomorrow is the day the dev pack for railsimulator is realeased and I am looking forward to it.

Until next time

Kuju Railsimulator

Written by damiende on November 4, 2007 – 8:06 pm

Hopefully in the future there will be some great player made routes and trains. Hopefully it will be easy to convert the old routes from MSTS Trainz and the other trainsimulators out there. It’s amazing to see the work that has been put into the trains and routes that has been created.

I have a few dream routes and trains that I wish someone would make. And those are Hardangerbana and the trains that were used on that route.  Flåmsbanen and the route from Bergen to Myrdal would be nice to see also. Who knows maybe there are someone that wants to make these routes. On November 12th Kujo will release the Professional DevToolPack for Rail Simulator and it will be fun to see what comes out of it. It will be fun to see whats coming.

Until next time
