They should look to wow for some great input on how to mess with goldsellers.  They should turn most things that you buy on the AH bind on pickup. This would give crafters a way to earn money. But gilsellers couldn’t sell the weapons or armor to other players only npcs.

Have more stuff turned into rare/ex this would also put a dent into the gilsellers income.

The greatest impact would be if more players started to care and actually reported cheaters. To many ffxi players are ignorant to the fact that cheating happens. This was evident when you saw what players said afther the list of ffxi app customers was published.

These are some simple steps that would mess with gilsellers big time.
