The game creators could try this in their fight against rmt

Then ban the account, doing such a thing would create a various results. If it happened often enough sellers would think tvice about doing it out of fear of the account being banned. Buyers that bought an account that got banned. Would be pissed of at those that sold the accounts. And might even seek legal help to retrieve the money.
Another thing they could do was to pose as a account buyer and then strike the potential sellers with a ban. Another way to create fear in the hearts of the cheaters.

Well:
1) Can’t sell accounts on ebay.
2) Account sellers do not give out any information about the account until they are paid. Good luck banning based on items on the character….Oops we just banned everyone wearing arena gear.
3) Don’t you think the high payed people at Blizzard would be doing this if they thought it would work. I mean, you’re not on the cutting edge of some new revolutionary idea. You are spitting out garbage ideas.
The good thing is people like you who get your panties in a bunch cause Blizzard to try to do something about the “cheating”. Well all this does is make a nice market for our goods. If it was legal we wouldn’t be making so much money. Thank you.

I have contacted account sellers several times. What they do is they give out their messenger name or aol name. And then we discuss price and get some information about servers gear reputation etc. And of course they give out the name. If not they could be selling a banned account or an account that is in the process of being banned.
Or it’s level 9 instead of level 70.
