I’ll give Everquest II a try
Written by damiende on June 7, 2007 – 4:15 pmRight now I am downloading Trial of the Isles. It’s a huge download, and it says that it got 6 more hours until its finished downloading. A few years back they offered everquest as a free download. And I actually downloaded and tried it. I never quite liked it. The graphics were good but I thought it was to hard to grasp the basics of what to do. I have also tried Anarchy Online and Project Entropia. Both of these I didn’t like. Anarchy Online had a user interface that were to “messy” And I didn’t like the grapics of Project entropia.
The first game I really played was FFXI, say what you want about how party oriented or how long you are LFP. I think it has a easy to learn interface. And for the most part a great playerbase that helps each other. The first player I partied with as a newbie was Pius.
After one year of FFXI I tried World of Warcraft. And that’s what I have been playing since. I have heard alot of positive things about EverquestII and that’s why I want to give it a try. Maybe it’s something I’ll end up playing. And maybe not. Time will tell.
Until next time

I am not sure if the trail let you chose which city you can start in, but if it dose i would chose either kelethin or Neriak, the other 2 (Freeport, and Qeynos) are older and not as fun as thouse 2

I started on some Island. Not sure of the name of the starting city.

If you pick the Fae to play, then you start off in Neriak, I believe. If you choose one of the other races to play, then you start off on the island. I am not a fan of the island, so if you get a chance try playing the fae, they are fun and you’ll also have access to one of the smaller cities, which you don’t get access too if your on the island.
I also found out that if I changed the key config to suit my style the game had trouble remembering it after I would log back in. This is not an issue with the full game, just the trial version, and it may not even be an issue with yours.
Give the game a chance. I left 2.5 years ago to play WoW and I’ve come back to the game and its much improved over the original release, and the Fae are pretty cool to play.
